SPE Launching and Guest LectureHasanuddin University                                              
“Subsurface Imaging and Carrier Opportunities”

For the first time since established in October 2014, SPE Student Chapter Hasanuddin University held the Grand Launching and collaborated with Guest Lecture with theme “Subsurface Imaging and Carrier Opportunities”. The activities take place at Science and Technology Building of Hasanuddin University on December, 13th 2014.

The event began with speech from the chairman of this event, Ms. Andi Tenri Awali Wildana then opened by the Vice Rector IV of Hasanuddin University, Prof. dr. Budu, Ph.D, Sp.M (K), M. MedEd with symbolic activity called Potong Tumpeng and beating the Gong.
After opened by Vice Rector IV, the event continues with South Sulawesi traditional dance as entertainment part to welcome our guest and entertain the participant. This event was attended by representatives of SPE Balikpapan Section Mrs. Annisa Anggirani Putri, Mr. Toni Okto Muhroni and Mr. Robbie Arsyadanie. Sonofera Geosains and SPE Balikpapan Section became the sponsor of this event and Total E&P Indonesie became the supported company by delegate their professional to be the lecturer in this event. 

 Furthermore the event continues to Guest Lecture activity by Ms. Ruth Christiani Basa (Geophysicist) and Mr. Ronald Atasi (Geologist), from Total E&P Indonesie with main topic about career in petroleum industry, their experience during became professional and the environment where they are working. The committee also prepare some doorprize for participant with the best question, chosen by the lecturer to attract participant curiosity. Faculty Advisor of SPE SC Hasanuddin University, Mr. Sabrianto Aswad also became speaker in this lecture with topic subsurface imaging that give an overview about the role of geosciences major in petroleum industry. 
Total participants in this event reached 150 people with different backgrounds from various Universities in Makassar, like Geophysics, Geology, Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Informatics Engineering, Environmental Engineering to Public Health. We hope that events like this can continue to be implemented to improve the knowledge of students associated with the oil and gas industry.
